The Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) conducted a Training Needs Assessment among the 510 DPOs. The assessment aimed at establishing the gaps in skills required of DPOs to perform tasks related to ensuring compliance under the data protection act. This assessment specifically sought to identify the level of involvement of DPOs in the governance of Data Protection and Privacy activities; establish whether DPOs develop and implement Data Protection and Privacy awareness programs; and establish DPOs’ knowledge and understanding of audit/assessment, breach and complaints management procedures.
