The HUBiquitous project aimed to build the capacity of Digital Innovation Hubs, all around Africa. The programs implemented by the project increased capacities of African Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) on Internet of Things (IoT) activities. The program's activities also focused on boosting the development of sustainable innovation services for the local ecosystem (e.g. youth, entrepreneurs).
During the project a total 25 TechHub from 15 African countries were engaged, bringing new revenue streams and improving innovation services delivery capacity. The project has provided light-weight hardware infrastructure and capacity-building trainings to all hubs.
You can learn more about how the hubiquitous program has advanced IoT and AI technologies to empower local communities across Africa in the video below.
More information on the program is available on their website.
In the HUBiquitous magazine, you can read more about how the project's Tech-Accelerator and IoT Certification Program are building the capacity of the participants. You can learn more about how the community engagement was bolstered by the “IoT Certification Courses” and hackathons organized by the hubs as well as how the “HUBiquitous Innovation Week” provided a pivotal platform for successful hubs.
